Medical Office Technicians — Certified Medical Assistants

Basic Functions

Multiple positions available. Position provides assistance to patients and providers with direct and indirect patient care. Medical Office Technician/Certified Medical Assistant works under the direction of the clinical provider and office manager.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited CAAHEP or ABHES Certified Medical Assistant course.
  • Registry by American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  • General knowledge or medical ethics and confidentiality.
  • Up to six months experience under the supervision of a physician in a clinical medical office setting with phlebotomy and medication administration.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Basic first aid knowledge preferred.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.

Certified Diabetic Educator

Basic Functions

Responsible and accountable for clinical development activities to include structured programs, in-services, orientation and ongoing educational programs based on learner and organizational needs that foster the development of competence in the clinical staff.

The Diabetic educator will also be responsible for assisting with diabetic pump starts, monitoring blood sugar reports that are brought in daily by patients, making necessary changes to medications based upon blood glucose logs, and calling in prescriptions.

New patient consults and medication training for new patients. 

Qualifications
  • SC licensed RN.
  • Minimum of two years experience as certified diabetic educator or clinical dietician.
  • Certification in CPR required.
  • Certification as Diabetes Educator required.
  • Masters degree preferred.

LPN —PN

Basic Functions

Responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider. Works regularly with information which is restricted to specific persons. Discretion and integrity are recognized requirements for the job. Responsible for high degree of accuracy and control of details. Moderate physical activity, clerical and/or light physical work. Involves occasional lifting (15lbs), considerable walking, some bending, stooping and squatting.

Qualifications
  • Current South Carolina license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a pressured environment.
  •  Ability to adapt and apply skills across varied practice environments.
  • Basic first aid knowledge.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 1+ year of LPN experience in a physician practice/outpatient setting preferred.
  • Ability to effectively use EMR software preferred.
