Responsible and accountable for clinical development activities to include structured programs, in-services, orientation and ongoing educational programs based on learner and organizational needs that foster the development of competence in the clinical staff.
The Diabetic educator will also be responsible for assisting with diabetic pump starts, monitoring blood sugar reports that are brought in daily by patients, making necessary changes to medications based upon blood glucose logs, and calling in prescriptions.
New patient consults and medication training for new patients.

Responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider. Works regularly with information which is restricted to specific persons. Discretion and integrity are recognized requirements for the job. Responsible for high degree of accuracy and control of details. Moderate physical activity, clerical and/or light physical work. Involves occasional lifting (15lbs), considerable walking, some bending, stooping and squatting.
